Kataraina Pipi is a mother of two and Nanny of two. Her business FEM 2006 Ltd provides facilitation, coaching, evaluation and research services. Kataraina has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Sector Evaluation Research which she completed in 2009 at

Massey University and in February 2021 completed He Waka Hiringa – Masters in Applied Indigenous Knowledge with Te Wānanga o Āotearoa.

Kataraina is a member of the Aotearoa New Zealand Evaluation Association, and current co-chair of Mā te Rae – Māori Evaluation Association.

Kataraina has been working in the field of evaluation for over 15 years. Her current evaluation projects are in the early years, social services, youth justice, Maori leadership and health areas.

Kataraina is a highly sought after Facilitator who works with whānau, organisations, iwi and communities supporting in teambuilding, organisational development, iwi development and conflict resolution.

Oranga Ngākau is a model of practice that supports learning, healing and growth through music.

Kataraina will outline the three principles that underpin the model - waiata, wairua and waiora and discuss the notion of the alignment between oranga ngākau and Mauri Ora.
